A short review of 2013 and my gratitude to everyone
Before the end of 2013 I would like to at least post one last journel.
Here is my year in review, just something I wanted to do to remind myself to keep on improving.
There were various photographs I started off with at the beginning of the year. At that time my focus was more on traditional art because although I had a tablet, the pen pressure wouldn't work so I gave up on it for quite a while.
Here's my little comic I did in April. Hehe
In May, I posted my first proper digital artwork after 1 year, it was a drawing for my friend Liyadan
's birthday. You can tell that I still hadn't fixed my pen pressure problem at that time. The next piece was for my friend Bluberrybush
Gradually, I started adding more digital drawings. But school is so busy
In July, I finally fixed the pressure problem and I feel that that was when I really started to learn digital drawing. My first drawing was a 1 layer artwork with heaps of sparkly things. At that time, I was still experimenting with colours and brushes so basically everything was new to me. I think over used the bright colours! haha
This was when I recieved a few requests and it was so much fun. But I closed requests after a while because I didn't have a lot of time and I didn't to take people's requests and then not end up doing them because I'm too busy. But I think I will open to requests some day because it was really fun!
After that, I started to spend more time on improving my digital drawing. Colour was still a big problem for me because I found it hard to match the right colours and shades together.
If you've read this far in my silly little journel, I want to thank you very much!
When you click that fave button, I bet you don't realise it, but I'm very very thankful. I want to give my love (haha, that's a bit cheesy) to all those who watch me, because I am so happy to have people who are willing to follow me for my art. It brings me happiness to know that the art I create is enjoyed by people and gives me encourgement to continue drawing.
But it's not only to those who watch me, but also to those who comment wonderful feedback on my artwork. I love and appreciate every single comment I recieve and I will always read every comment. So don't think what you're posting will be ignored because I will never do that!
Thank you to all those who are willing to spend that extra second to fave my work, or even just to have a look at them, I am very thankful.
I keep saying I'm thankful and I really really mean it. And I hope that if you have read all of this, you can understand that I'm very happy to be able to post my art on Deviantart. And I'm sorry if I rambled on too much, but I hope that 2014 will be another wonderful year filled with new challenges and suprises.
And not just me, but to everyone, I wish you all the best next year and don't give up. Don't think that you're not good enough so you should quit because art is never about quiting. This may be old, but art is really about practice, only when you practice can you achieve better, and besides, your art style may change as you continue to practice. And one day you might realise 'This art style really suits me!'
Happy New Year everyone!
